Anta / Anti
Today you learn two words. Anta = You (to a man) & Anti = You (to a woman). That’s it.
How to say them? Anta: Say “An-ta”. Like “and” + “ta” (like “tah”). Anti: Say “An-ti”. Like “and” + “tea”. Try them now: Anta. You (man). Anti. You (woman)… Good.
In Arabic writing (Just for your info): they’re أنتَ (Anta) & أنتِ (Anti). You don’t need to read or write them yet. We’ll get there. Slowly.
When do you use them?
When you talk to someone directly. If talking to a man → Anta. If talking to a woman → Anti.
Anta Muslim? (Are you Muslim? — to a man) → Naam.
Anti tired? (Are you tired? — to a woman) → Laa.
Anta ready? → Naam.
Anti here? → Naam.
Now combine with Ana (Session Two):
- Ana Muslim. Anta Muslim? (I’m Muslim. You Muslim? — to a man)
- Ana ready. Anti ready? (I’m ready. You ready? — to a woman)
Two small words, but you can now speak to people. That’s enough for today.
