Naam / Laa

Today you learn two words. Naam = Yes & Laa = No. That’s it.

How to say them? Naam: Say “Nah-ahm”
Like “nah” + a soft hum at the end.

Laa: Say “Lah”
Like “la” in “lava” — but stop short.

Try them now: Naam. Yes. Laa. No… Good.

In Arabic writing (Just for your info): they’re نعم (Naam) & لا (Laa)

You don’t need to read or write them yet. We’ll get there. Slowly.

When do you use them?

Anytime someone asks you a question.Do you understand? → Naam. Are you tired? → Laa. Do you want tea? → Naam. Are you ready? → Naam.

Now combine with Ana (previous session):

Two small words, but you can now answer. That’s enough for today.
