In the Name of Allah.

Motive: Why Spanish?

Here, I am going to work on a never-ending file to learn as much Spanish as I need, In-Shaa’-Allah (SWT), following the approach of the Learn X in Y Minutes blog. It is very simple and surprisingly effective at delivering the information needed to study a subject.

Why do I want to study Spanish? It was my first experience with learning a language purely out of personal interest, without any external pressure—exams, school, etc.

After trying many online resources and approaches—Duolingo, FSI, the Natural Method, Language Reactor, copywork, graded readers, books, audio podcasts, etc.—I finally decided to build my own curriculum: a curriculum that is relevant to what I believe I need.

Lesson One | Lección Uno

A quick self introduction. I want to be able to briefly introduce myself in Spanish.

الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
